Scope and Contents Photo taken of a woman identified as Dr. Martin. There were two Dr Martins on Malta at this time. This is either Mary Martin or Mary Edith Martin. Dr Martin appears to have been dressed up to take part in a concert. The British Red Cross had put out an appeal for performers - they wanted to make sure every one of the many hospitals on the island had its own concert on Christmas Day. Giving the poor wounded soldiers a wonderful Christmas had become an important tradition. Title taken from...
