American Military History Lithographs
An artificial collection consisting of black and white and color lithographically reproduced prints depicting historical battle scenes and soldiers throughout American history from the 1780s through WWII-era. Manuscript account of Charles I's meeting with the Commissioners from both Houses of Parliament on Friday, December 24, 1647. Written, in a period hand, from the perspective of one who witnessed the meeting. Although the manuscript says it was printed, it has not been possible to determine if this account ever was so printed.
Anais Nin papers, 1969-1992
Consists of correspondence between Nin and colleagues and between her publisher, Peter Owen and others, particularly her literary agent, Gunther Stuhlmann. Also included is Nin's typescript draft of her essay, "On Writing, Writer and Symbols," a transcription of Nin's introduction to Anna Kavan's Ice, as well as draft introductions to Ladders to fire and Children of the albatross and a preface to Cities of the interior, all written by Gunther Stuhlmann.
Ancient Order of United Workmen papers, 1887-1921
The AOUW Papers consist of the meeting minutes, financial records, and membership rolls of the AOUW Grand Lodge of Guthrie Oklahoma, all dating from 1900-1902. Also included among the papers is a photograph of the casket of Father J. J. Upchurch, the organization's founder, as he lay in state at the Masonic Hall in St. Louis, Missouri, 23 January 1887.
