Scope and Contents

Collection of 2,198 35mm color slides of 590 species of North American birds made by Tulsan Robert Jones Farris between his retirement in 1974 and his death in July 1983. Approximately half the slides have date and locality data. The slides are housed in four, small, portable metal slide cases.

Scope and Contents The papers consist of 1) administrative papers and correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, event calendars, and the Society's newsletter, the Scissortail. This series is organized chronologically with some years further divided by subject, i.e. 1988-Tallgrass Preserve, or, 1988-Scissortail; 2) bird observation records reported to the Tulsa Audubon Society Recorder as one of the society's activities.
