Scott with 7,000 American forces totally routed the whole Mexican Army, numbering 32,000 men commanded by Genl. Santa Anna. American loss in killed and wounded about 1,100 men. Mexican loss: killed and wounded 7,000 men !!, ran away Santa Anna and 25,000 Mexicans !!!”
