Scope and Contents

The album documents barracks life, rifle range acitivity, the Army Service School, Leavenworth prison, engineer training (road march, bivouac, pontoon bridges, walls, base camps, and locomotives (including some from the Paris-Orleans railway), rolling stock (box cars, flat cars, and tank car gondolas), steam shovels, and trucks (5 ton and ambulances). Post-war images include vehicles, buildings, construction (railroad bridge, river lock, river boat crane, barges, paved roads, etc.).

Scope and Contents A WWI sailor log of Alfred George Lawson on the U. S. S. Paulding from 1917-1919, which describes Lawon's experiences on the U. S. destroyer and his daily activities. The U. S. S. Paulding's primary duty was to escort convoys and protect them from German u-boat attacks. Content Description

Manuscript account of Charles I's meeting with the Commissioners from both Houses of Parliament on Friday, December 24, 1647. Written, in a period hand, from the perspective of one who witnessed the meeting. Although the manuscript says it was printed, it has not been possible to determine if this account ever was so printed.
