Consists of editorial, production and publicity files for approximately 2000 books published by this London firm. Includes correspondence with Jean Rhys, Stevie Smith, and V.S. Naipaul, among many others. Also represents a great deal of the work of Deutsch editor Diana Athill who influenced women's writing in Britain.

Consists of 72 autograph letters and 5 Christmas cards (most accompanied by their envelopes) to friends and colleagues including Ian Hamilton, H. A. Rappaport, Alan Ross, and Roger Senhouse; also included is a cablegram to Hartley from Harvey Curtis Webster. The collection also holds editions of Hartley's books, books to which he contributed, and secondary critical appraisals, and an extensive run of Weekend Review, a journal to which Hartley made regular contributions.

Consists of typescript and carbon typescript drafts, as well as working notes, for three novels and the signed offprint of an essay. Included in the collection is a letter from Samuel Epstein to Margaret Drabble, a letter from Margaret Drabble to Gordon Taylor (English Department, University of Tulsa) with an attached note from Taylor to Sid Huttner (Curator, Special Collections, University of Tulsa).
