The Erskine Caldwell material is an artificial collection composed primarily of printed editions of his work, including such items as God's Little Acre, Tobacco Road, and American Earth. The collection also includes manuscript material for Erskine Caldwell's Gulf Coast Stories and original pen and ink drawings for by Louis Macouillard for Caldwell's When You Think Of Me.

Flannery O'Connor correspondence, 1957-1964

Consists of 8 handwritten and 93 typed letters, most with envelopes, from O'Connor to Cecil Dawkins. Included are a program for the 1963 commencement of Smith College at which O'Connor was awarded a Doctor of Letters degree and a photograph of O'Connor with Thomas Corwin Mendenhall, College President.

Gertrude Stein annotated photographs and ephemera, 1925-1958

Scope and Contents Artificially assembled collection consists of 70 annotated snapshots of Gertrude Stein and her friends, Georges Hugnet (poet) and Eugene Berman, taken between 1925-1929, at her summer home in Bilignin near Belley, France. Views include: Berman at work on a painting. Most of the snapshots are 2 1/2 by 2 inches, with a few slightly larger. 20 of the snapshots are annotated by Stein on the versos.
